The Wesenberg family’s world was torn apart one tragic Sunday afternoon. Their youngest son, Ted, was found lifeless in the family swimming pool. Despite Paul, his father, diving in to rescue him and paramedics’ best efforts, Ted could not be revived. The loss was unimaginable, leaving a void that nothing could fill.
Linda, Ted’s mother, was shattered, sitting in silent grief during the funeral. Paul, too, struggled with the weight of the tragedy, and their once-loving home became a battleground of blame and sorrow. The air was filled with arguments, as each parent struggled to cope in their own way.
Amidst their pain, they failed to notice the growing silence of their surviving son, Clark. The loss of his brother had left him heartbroken, and the constant fighting between his parents only deepened his loneliness. He missed the happy family they once were—a time when smiles and bedtime kisses were part of his daily life.
One evening, unable to bear the tension any longer, Clark burst into his parents’ room, tears streaming down his face. “Please stop fighting!” he begged. “I miss Ted, and I miss us!” But his pleas were drowned out by their grief, leaving Clark to carry his pain alone in the chaos.
