Gary Sinise recently opened up about the devastating loss of his 33-year-old son, McCanna “Mac” Sinise, who passed away from cancer in January. The actor shared an emotional account of his son’s final days, describing the immense grief of losing Mac while also celebrating his courage and sense of peace during his battle with the illness.
Mac, a gifted musician, spent his last week of life working on a music album. Despite his deteriorating health, he found fulfillment in completing his creative project. Gary recalled a particularly touching moment when Mac, confined to his hospital bed, watched Forrest Gump, finding solace in his father’s iconic role.
For years, Mac fought against a rare form of cancer, enduring over 25 different treatments.
