Jim Jordan, the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, recently shared his support for the idea of Dan Bongino being appointed as the new leader of the Federal Protective Service. During an interview on Benny Johnson’s podcast, Jordan expressed confidence in Bongino’s qualifications for the position.
Jordan, a Republican from Ohio, stated that he would fully back President-elect Donald Trump in nominating Bongino, who has a background as a former Secret Service agent. In the interview, Jordan spoke highly of Bongino’s qualifications and his dedication to public service.
“I think Dan would be great,” Jordan said, noting that Bongino’s experience in the Secret Service would allow him to make the necessary changes to enhance the agency’s effectiveness. Jordan believes Bongino shares a vision to improve the mission of the agency, which plays a vital role in protecting federal officials.
The Federal Protective Service, under Bongino’s leadership, could undergo significant reforms, according to Jordan. He emphasized the importance of focusing on the agency’s mission, ensuring that it operates at its highest capacity in safeguarding federal personnel.
Bongino, now known for his conservative commentary and media career, is seen by Jordan as someone who would bring a fresh perspective to the Secret Service. Jordan’s endorsement highlights his confidence in Bongino’s ability to lead and create positive changes within the agency.
